Umica Anderson-Howard is the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Manager. In that role she works closely with Partner and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer [*PEOPLE.10556.GetURLWrapped|Joseph K. West] to co-chair the firm-wide Diversity and Inclusion Committee.  She also supports and executes the firm’s [*PRACTICES.390.GetURLWrapped|diversity and inclusion initiatives] at both a global as well as office-wide level. She is the first point of contact internally for attorneys and staff regarding the firm’s extensive diversity and inclusion work. Mrs. Anderson-Howard also co-manages Duane Morris’ firm-wide diversity budgeting processes and helps oversee diversity-related financial strategy. She helps with diversity data management and metrics tracking in support of various business functions including responses to requests for proposals, client requests for data and relationships with external tracking initiatives. Ms. Anderson-Howard also works on the Duane Morris D&I 360 podcast.

She has over sixteen years of experience with the firm working with top level management, promoting firm policies and procedures, overseeing employee relations and building relationships with firm clients.

Rodney N. Rod is TAG’s Senior Manager of Strategic Alliances, serving as the lead liaison between the Director and our strategic relationships, and oversees and manages some of our most significant strategic partnerships. He is a published author and contributing author to the Tax Accounting Group’s Client Alerts and other tax and financial publications designed specifically for our clients. Mr. Anello is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent (EA). Ellen Auwarter has worked with law firms for most of her career, which began with the practice of litigation and employment law. At Duane Morris, Ms. Auwarter oversees marketing and business development programs for the global Corporate Practice Group, including Private Equity, Capital Markets and Insurance Regulatory/Transactional. Ellen also serves as liaison for the firm's strategic relationship with the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

Previously, Ms. Auwarter held marketing and business development positions at Lovells LLP, Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP. Ellen also spent three years at the New York New Media Association (NYNMA), the largest industry association for new media and technology in the country at the height of the dot-com boom.

Ms. Auwarter has served on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association, and helped create the Careers in Transition Program that won Second Place, Chapter Programs, at LMA's Your Honor Awards in 2010. She has spoken at the ABA's Law Firm Marketing Strategies Conference, among other venues.

He was most recently the Chief Information Officer of Buckley LLP an AmLaw 200 firm based in Washington, DC. Prior to his role at Buckley, Michael spent 14 at Ricoh (formerly mindSHIFT Technologies). Beginning as a member of their Help Desk and Field Engineering teams, he eventually joined the leadership team where he held several positions before becoming the Mid-Atlantic Managing Director of Ricoh’s Legal Professional Services Division, a position he held for 7 years. Michael is an active member of the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) and sits on their G100 Advisory Committee, a member of the Legal Advisory Committee for Zoom, and regularly participates in CIO advisory meetings with other strategic software partners. Thomas Davies is responsible for the direction and supervision of all of Duane Morris' marketing communications activities, including the planning and development of the firm's print and electronic marketing materials. Mr. Davies oversees the development and management of the firm's websites and social media, and his efforts are key to Duane Morris repeatedly being named among the best marketed firms in the United States by American Lawyer Media. Mr. Davies works with firm and practice leadership to develop communications strategies and programs to deliver key messages both firm-wide and to external audiences. He manages the firm's in-house communications team, and their creation of written, audio and video content. He writes and edits a variety of the firm's marketing materials, such as practice and industry overviews, and strategic messages to clients and prospective clients.

Mr. Davies has more than 30 years of experience managing teams of writers and editors and, prior to joining Duane Morris, held editorial positions at KPMG Consulting and American Lawyer Media. His background includes managing the editorial development, quality control and production of law books and covering the legal industry as a reporter and editor. Nicole Friant is a Conflicts and Business Intake Compliance Specialist with the Office of the General Counsel. Nicole returned to the firm after a seven-year hiatus, during which she owned and operated an organic farm in far northern California. Prior to 2015, Ms. Friant served as Duane Morris' Pro Bono Counsel and chaired the firm's Pro Bono Committee. The Tax Accounting Group is under the leadership and direction of Michael A. Gillen, who has more than 35 years of experience in many facets of federal, state and local income taxation, with particular emphasis on income tax compliance and planning for individuals and businesses. He also devotes his practice to litigation consulting services, including criminal and civil tax controversies, damage measurement, fraud and embezzlement detection, forensic and investigative accounting, legal claims and class action settlement administration, marital disputes, and professional malpractice. Thomas Mancuso III has nearly a decade of experience in the areas of federal, state and local taxation, with particular emphasis on tax compliance and tax minimization strategies for individuals, small businesses and trusts. He also devotes his practice to tax planning and compliance for U.S. taxpayers with offshore holdings and investments, as well as employment tax (federal, state and local) compliance. He also has experience in the compilation and presentation of financial data including analyzing operating results and financial transactions as well as preparing financial statements.

He is a contributing author to both TAG’s Client Alerts and TAG’s Tax Reform Task Force, which is charged with monitoring new tax laws across many tax types and advising clients accordingly. Mr. Mancuso graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems. In that capacity, Ms. Seibert defended lawyers in legal malpractice actions covering a wide range of practice areas, and further served in a claims avoidance capacity, including navigating through conflicts of interest that may arise through the course of a lawyer’s representation and undertaking mitigation efforts to salvage underlying litigation or otherwise reduce potential damages. Also, Ms. Seibert previously represented lawyers in responding to disciplinary complaints made against them with the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board.

Ms. Simoncini has over two decades of talent management experience in the legal industry with a broad base focus on recruitment, mentoring, professional development and policy oversight.

Ms. Simoncini is a member of the National Association of Law Placement (NALP) and Professional Development Consortium (PDC) and served as co-Chair of the Philadelphia city group of PDC. She has spoken on a variety of legal recruitment topics and co-authored the Lateral Best Practice Hiring Guide published by NALP. Ms. Simoncini is a former board member of the Philadelphia Area Diversity Job Fair and Legal Recruitment Administrators of Philadelphia.

She is a member of the firm’s Recruitment and Retention and Diversity & Inclusion Committees and serves as liaison to the Associates Committee.  Ms. Simoncini Pasquay received her Masters of Business Administration from Philadelphia University - School of Business Administration and received her undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management from Philadelphia University.

Stanley V. Todd has over 30 years of experience in many facets of federal, state and local income taxation, with particular emphasis on corporation and partnership income tax compliance and planning.
